Village-to-Village (V2V) is a small charity which works with community-led initiatives in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.  Over the past ten years our team has developed very close ties to the village of Uchira and the local people, dedicated to helping alleviate poverty in the area by supporting lasting sustainable development initiatives.  Our projects range from teaching English and teacher-training, to sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism, as well as working with people living with HIV/AIDS and construction.  For the past four years part of this effort has included utilising the valuable expertise of volunteers and visitors to benefit the local projects.  The placements range for development experience trips and long-term volunteering from two weeks to several months.  V2V works closely with prospective volunteers to ensure that they are placed in the projects which will benefit the most from their involvement.   We also offer enormous support both prior to travel, holding induction days, which include language training as well as onsite with our own volunteer accommodation and full-time staff, who can also arrange safaris, treks and beach trip.
