Projects Abroad – UK Programme Advisor Vacancy

Projects Abroad recruits young people from the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan to do worthwhile voluntary work overseas.

Annually we send over 10,000 enthusiastic volunteers to 28 developing countries to do voluntary work and gain work experience in fields including social care, teaching, medicine, journalism, veterinary science, law and conservation.

We put enormous importance on the welfare of our volunteers during their time with us overseas – our global team is committed to providing our volunteers with worthwhile work and the experience of a lifetime.

We are now recruiting for a Programme Advisor to join our UK team based in Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex.

Job responsibilities

· You will work as a member of our recruitment team helping to recruit volunteers from the UK market.

· The work is varied and will include travelling around the UK as well as office-based work.

· You will visit schools and universities to meet potential volunteers, parents and teachers at careers fairs and other events to promote our projects to individuals and groups.

· You will be responsible for developing relationships with prospects and their families to advise on Projects Abroad programmes by email and on the phone

· You will book and help to run Projects Abroad Information Evenings throughout the UK.

· You will liaise with the printers to get quotes for printing new materials and agree any orders with the UK Marketing Director.

· Taking part in familiarisation visits to new or current destinations in order to gain information and actual experience that can help promote Projects Abroad programmes.

Education and/or Experience

· Bachelors’ degree with some experience preferred in the Gap Year or Travel industry, and in Sales and Marketing.

Salary: £18000 - £24,000 (depending on experience)
